Term 4
Welcome back to term 4!
The year is going very quickly and this is our last term together! We have so many things this term that we will be learning about and participating in!
The beginning of the term we will be participating in an incursion for CBL, this will be happening in week 3 on Thursday 22nd October.
Later on in the term there will be a curriculum day and a public holiday.
There may also be an end of year concert but the date and details are yet to be confirmed! I know students have been looking forward to the year 2 sleepover, this is happening towards the end of term! I hope no-one snores! 🙂
Reports will also be sent out the middle of December!
In class we will be doing SO MUCH learning!
Reading we will continue to look at comprehension and many other CAFE strategies. We will continue to expand our vocabulary and learn so many more new words to use in our speaking and writing! We will also be reading a range of different texts for enjoyment and notice many different authors and illustrators.
In writing we will be looking at procedural and persuasive texts. We will also continue to use our Writer’s notebook so remember to bring in your seeds!
Throughout maths we will be learning about money, division, probability and other amazing topics!
Lastly our CBL topic for this term is ENVIRONMENT! We will be looking at what impacts our environment and how we effect the environment. This will be an interesting topic!
I can’t wait to get back to school and do many amazing things together!
Don’t forget that this term you will need your SunSmart hat to be safe from the sun! If you don’t have a SunSmart hat like the one in the picture, you will need to play in the undercover areas of the school.
